BAS - Beacon Art Salon

    The Beacon Art Salon

    Who Are We?

    Artists (Visual, Performing, Writing, Living)
    Artist Wannabes
    Art Enthusiasts
    Art Collectors & Sharers
    Art Educators

    And We:
Live, Work, Play, Show or Want to Show or See Art in Beacon

    What do we do?

We gather once a month to:

    Come together
Discuss art, our art, others art, the world of art
    Share ideas and our work
    Challenge each other
Get and give feedback, support, honesty, truth
Laugh and drink coffee or tea
    Build resources for each other
    Get into the loop
    Make our own loops
    Brainstorm

    What do we believe?

We believe that art isn't made in a vacuum.  We believe in the process and the product.  We come out of our studios,
galleries, lives and living rooms to make connections with each other and open ourselves up to listen and exchange.

September 8, 2007 – October 8, 2007

BAS brings more ART into its Monthly Meetings
With the new year, BAS will try out a new meeting format.  Our first half hour will remain a informational/news/events discussion period.
The last hour of each meeting will now be either an art workshop (that can include a hands on art activity or an artist resource
exchange) or an artists dialogue discussion.  No art experience is necessary to participate in the hands on workshops and all members
are encouraged to bring materials (if they have them) and join in on whatever level they feel comfortable.  Each art workshop will be
hosted/coordinated by a different BAS member.

Other Art workshop ideas include the following:
           Breaking the Artists Block
    Marketing
    The Art of Presentation
    Portfolios

    NEW Series:  The Artists Dialogue
The Beacon Art Salon is proud to present a new series called The Artists Dialogue.  This series will include discussions about various
topics in, about and for the arts from the artists point of view.

Artist Dialogue series subjects will include the following:
Influences: Other artists, books, writers and music
To gallery show or not to gallery show
    Spirituality in Art
    Environment & the Artist

If you have a suggested artist dialogue, art activity or workshop or would like to host one, email us at the contact us page.
